Islamabad: At least three people have been killed in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi in different incidents of violence, Dawn News reported Saturday.
The incidents were triggered after some unidentified miscreants opened fire on a political worker in the Sadar area. The man was killed while two other people suffered injuries.
Angry mobs set ablaze two motorcycles while shops were reportedly closed down after the attack.
Meanwhile, a man who was injured in a firing incident in Baldia town earlier, succumbed to his wounds at hospital. Another man, identified as Abdul Razzaq, was gunned down in Gulshan-e-Bahar locality.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers cordoned off the site and restored serenity in the area.
