The teenager was also linked to a deadly explosion in Moscow’s Domodedovo airport that killed 37 people last year.

Bashir Khamkhoyev, a resident of Ingushetia, was found guilty on several charges, including the attempted murder of a law enforcement official and creating a terrorist group, the Investigative Committee said Tuesday.

The charges were, however, not related to the airport suicide bombing in January 2011.

Khamkhoyev is suspected of having a hand in aiding the attacker, though investigation is still going on.

He was detained in February 2011 after his car was involved in a road accident in his native region in the turbulent North Caucasus.

Two relatives of the Moscow bomber, who were earlier accused of helping him along with Khamkhoyev, were cleared by police in September.
