Reliance Communications quarterly revenue rises at Rs.5,052 crore

Mumbai : Leading telecom firm Reliance Communications Friday reported an increase in total revenue at Rs.5,052 crore for the quarter ended Dec 31 against Rs.5,040 crore during the previous quarter.

The company’s wireless revenue also rose to Rs.4,447 crore during the quarter under review against Rs.4,417 crore in the previous quarter, the company said in a statement.

While the firm’s net profit stood at Rs.186 crore during the quarter, its wireless minutes of usage increased by one percent from 98.9 billion to 99.9 billion as compared to the previous quarter.

The firm also posted a two percent increase in its customer base at 150.1 million against 147.1 million in the previous quarter while its 3G active customers stood at 2.8 million.

During the period under review its revenue per minute remained 45 paise “highest in the industry and stable for the last eight consecutive quarters”.

“Reliance Communications continues to be free cash flow positive. It generated operational cash flow (EBITDA) of Rs.1,611 crore in this quarter,” the statement added.

“Post payment of 3G auction fees and with peak capex behind us, this is the first full year of positive free cash flow for the company and this trend will continue in succeeding years.”
