According to the findings of the government’s annual road condition survey 2011, various routes comprising 4,046 km used as NATO supply lines had suffered 26 percent damages, the Dawn quoted Federal Minister for Communications Arbab Alamgir Khan as telling parliament.

After the Salala border post attack by NATO forces in November that killed 24 soldiers, Pakistan closed all NATO supply routes.

The government has said the supply lines will be reopened only if parliament approved it.
