Islamabad : At least 35 people involved in gambling, liquor trade, drug trafficking and car theft were arrested Tuesday in a massive police operation in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
Attock police arrested 14 gamblers and recovered around Rs.10,000 from them near Kot Dadu village.
Two were held for keeping illegal pistols, Khalid Zaman while five were arrested for possession of narcotics, the Online news agency reported.
Bahter police arrested two people for illicit liquor trade and one was arrested for possessing an illegal revolver.
Jand police arrested two people for keeping similar weapons as well as drugs.
Police in Hassan Abdal apprehended two people with illegal pistols, one person with a stolen car and two others for possessing illicit liquor and drugs.
Injra police arrested one man for keeping a revolver and two people for possessing narcotics.
