Agartala : At least 37 students fell sick after consuming Jatropha seeds in Tripura. They are stated to be out of danger, officials said Tuesday.
The students consumed the seeds while playing in the school ground Monday, medical officer Prabir Dhar Chowdhury told reporters.
The students belonged to different classes of a school at Amarpur in southern Tripura.
Jatropha, a medicinal plant cultivated in various parts of northeastern region, contains compounds that are highly toxic.
