Israeli car attack: Police chief meets Chidambaram

New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissio0ner B.K. Gupta met Home Minister P. Chidambaram here Tuesday to apprise him of the investigation into the terrorist attack a day earlier that left an Israeli defence attache’s wife severely injured, official sources said.

The home ministry is likely to release a statement Tuesday on the preliminary details of the probe into the incident, the sources added.

Tal Yehoshua Koren, the wife of the Israeli defence attache, was severely injured in Monday’s attack on an Israeli embassy car at the Aurangzeb Road crossing which also left the driver and two passersby wounded.

A meeting of the home ministry officials has discussed the coordination in the investigation, including participation of the National Investigation Agency, they said.
