A press statement here said that the BJP workers had requested state party chief Nandkumar Patel in Chhote Murpar area, some 250 km from Bhopal, to induct them into the party.

“Patel had immediately agreed to BJP workers requests and inducted them into the party fold at a brief function,” the statement added.

The Congress claimed that the BJP workers quit their party as they were fed up with the anti-farmer and anti-poor policies of the present government. The Congress also released names of all the 40 new entrants.
