Dhaka : Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Sunday sought support from the Bengali community across the world for trying war criminals, The Daily Star reported.
She said the nation is indebted to three million martyrs and uncountable number of oppressed people of the Liberation War of 1971.
Hasina said the government has brought the war criminals under the purview of law in keeping with its election pledge.
“I hope the world Bengali community will carry out their duty to this end,” she said at the inaugural function of the First International Bengali Conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
