Eight student faculty representatives elected to the AMU court

Aligarh: Eight student representatives from various faculties were declared elected as members to the Aligarh Muslim University Court, the supreme governing body of the University. Dr. Afifullah Khan, Chief Election Officer announced the results late night yesterday.

The elections were held in a peaceful manner. Mr. Ashique Rashul (Arts), Mr. Arshad Ali (Agricultural Sciences/Theology), Hamza Raza Khan (Commerce), Shujaatullah (Law), Ahmad Nabeel Khan (Management Studies and Research), Ausaf Ahmad (Science), Furquan Osama (Medicine) and Mohd. Irfan Ahmad (Unani Medicine) were the student representatives elected as members to the University Court.

President, Vice President, Secretary and one nominee of the Executive Committee of the AMU Students’ Union are the Ex-officio members of the University Court.
