Ghaziabad : An Independent candidate for Ghaziabad city assembly constituency was injured when unidentified assailants shot at her Sunday night, police said. Her condition is said to be stable.
The incident occurred in Kaila Bhatta area of Ghaziabad at around 9.50 p.m. Madhu Suneja had just came out of her office when she was shot.
Suneja, who was hit on her shoulder, was taken to the local Yashoda hospital where attending doctors stated that her condition was stable.
“It is still unclear who shot at her. Police are investigating the case,” said Superintendent of Police (City) J.K. Shahi.
