UAE officials meet foreign leaders

Abu Dhabi : Officials of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sunday met their counterparts from France, Morocco and Seychelles and discussed expansion of ties.

Amal Al Qubaisi, first deputy speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), met French politician Arnaud Montebourg, a deputy of the Saone-et-Loire district to the French National Assembly for the Socialist Party, who is currently on a visit to the UAE.

At a meeting held at the FNC House in Abu Dhabi, the two officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties between UAE and France in various fields, especially in parliamentary affairs.

Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qattami, minister of education, met Mohamed Ait Ouali, ambassador of Morocco, and hailed the relations between the two countries, especially in the field of education.

The UAE and Seychelles Sunday signed an agreement on exempting holders of diplomatic and special passports from obtaining visa for entry into both countries.

The agreement was signed by the undersecretary of the UAE’s ministry of foreign affairs Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi and Seychelles Foreign Minister Jean-Paul Adam.

The agreement will facilitate people from both countries to stay up to 90 days without a visa.
