According to a press release issued by the Coalition, the vigil will be joined by Joe Lombardo of the United National Antiwar Coalition, Rev. Mark Lukens of The Inter-faith Alliance, Imam Al-Haj Talib Abdur-Rashid of the Islamic Leadership Council of New York, Bhairavi Desai, President of the National Taxi Workers Alliance, and leaders from the American Civil Liberties Union in demanding justice and rehabilitation for the victims of the 2002 anti-Muslim pogrom in the state of Gujarat.

“Ten years after the brutal rapes, and vicious murders of thousands of innocent Muslim civilians, creating many orphans, most of the perpetrators openly walk the streets of India, making a mockery of India’s justice system.
