Lucknow: Ever thought of a mobile phone which reminds you namaz timings? There is one which automatically goes into silent mode during prayers. Further, this mobile offers whole Quran recitation for its users.
The Islamic phone will be available in Lucknow from Sunday. Manufactured by a Malaysian company, the mobile phone will be formally launched at Islamic Centre of India by Imam, Aishbagh, Eidgah, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli on Sunday.
“With mobile becoming a necessity for everyone, it is necessary that the tool also comes with Islamic features for its users. Now, they can use it for their religious purpose with all valuable information packed inside the phone,” said Danish Ahmed, an official of the company which is launching the phone. The phone is already available in Delhi but it will be first time unveiled in Lucknow.
Salient features of the phone include, double SIM, complete Quran recitation in voice of famous seven recitors. It has an auto silent mode during pray times in masjid. It offers Quran translations in 29 languages and also complete explanation of sayings of Prophet.
The phone also comes with a Islamic calender and hundreds of duas in Islam. Other Islamic applications include Zakat calculator, Tasbeeh counter, Haj guide, 99 names of Allah etc. It shows worldwide prayer times and qibla direction across thousands of cities in the world besides graphical qibla direction reference. More handy is the prayer time as per the local mosque azan. The phone will be available for Rs 3499 in Lucknow.
