Mumbai: Maharashtra ATS produced 3 Darbhanga students picked up from Mohali, Punjab, in the Mazgaon Court on Tuesday with the charges under section 420 and 34. Their families must be taking sigh of relief as their sons were not charged for terror activities.
Adv. Khalid Azmi of Jamiat Ulema Hind’s Legal Cell appearing on behalf of the accused told TwoCircles.net: “ATS told the court that they have completed the investigation and found them guilty of forging papers to get 14 SIM Cards”.
He also informed that ATS did not ask for their remand; therefore they were sent on judicial custody. He said, “Due to lack of time, their bail plea could not be filed today, it will be filed and heard on Wednesday.”
Abdul Wahab Umar (22) and Qamar Alam Sheikh are the students of mechanical engineering at Swami Paramanand Engineering College, Mohali (Punjab). They were picked by Maharashtra ATS sleuths on 1st January, 2011 and Vasil Khan was picked up from Samastipur, Bihar.
