Pakistan reviews progress in curbing IEDs

Islamabad: Pakistan has reviewed the progress in curbing the use of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The review took place at a high-level meeting Friday that was chaired by Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Malik commended the gallantry of all security personnel who died battling terrorism in the past few years.

The minister sought suggestions and input in the proposed legislation to be enacted shortly through a bill on controlling IEDs to be drafted by the interior ministry, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
