Ajmer: Less than a week in the literary festival of Jaipur, but the anger against controversial writer Salman Rushdie’s visit is only growing day by day. A Muslim representative group of Jaipur has decided to hold demonstration at the venue of the festival Rushdie is scheduled to visit on 21st Jan.
Muslim Ekta Manch, a representative body of Muslim panchayat heads and social organisations in Ajmer, in its working committee meeting on Sunday, decided to hold the demonstration in Jaipur. Manch will give a call to people to march Jaipur on 21st Jan. The meeting was presided over by Ajmer Dargah chief Alhaj Syed Ghulam Kibriya.

Addressing the press after the meeting, Syed Kibriya said Rushdie is not liked by Muslims in India and all over world and also by crores of secular people. This controversial writer has a communal mindset. Through his writings, he expresses his hateful view about Islam and Muslims, he said.
He further said that the presence of such controversial writer at the prestigious literature festival will damage the reputation of the program, rather it will hurt crores of secular people in India. This will also create negative thinking among Rajasthan people particularly Muslims about state govt.
The press conference was also addressed by Muzaffer Bharti, spokesperson of Muslim Ekta Manch.
