Beijing: SriLankan airlines will operate daily flights to Beijing and Shanghai from July 15.
The flights will help serve the increasing number of Chinese travellers to Colombo, Male, Bangkok and other destinations on its network, the China Daily reported.
With these additions, the number of SriLankan flights to four Chinese cities, including Guangzhou and Hong Kong, will increase to 21 per week.
The number of Chinese travellers to Sri Lanka rose by 56 percent in 2011 to more than 16,000.
