Special CBI Judge Talwant Singh listed the matter for further hearing Aug 4 after CBI sought time for its reply.

“List this matter for filing replies to the bail applications, arguments on bail and scrutiny of documents on Aug 4,” the court said.

According to the charge sheet filed by the CBI in April, Ramadoss abused his official position to grant permission to an Indore-based institution to admit medical students although it lacked adequate facilities.

The Medical Council of India and a panel appointed by the Supreme Court found that the institution did not have sufficient faculty and clinical material required as per the MCI norms.
