Lucknow : Five people, including a three-year-old girl, were killed and six others injured Tuesday when a truck rammed into a private bus in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur city, police said.
The accident happened at the Bhudadev crossing when the speeding bus rammed into a truck standing there.
The dead have been identified as Dolly Jaiswal, 32, Lakhi, 3, Sunita, 35, Durgawati Rawat, 28, and Pramod, 32.
All the dead were from Maharajganj district and were travelling in the private bus.
The bodies have been sent for autopsy while the injured have been sent to a medical facility for treatment, an official said.
