New Delhi : K.N. Srivastava, a 1978-batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) will take over as the new civil aviation secretary at the end of this month.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Thursday approved the appointment of the new civil aviation secretary.
Srivastava, an IAS officer of Karnataka cadre, will replace S.N.A. Zaidi, who retires July 31.
Srivastava is currently special secretary and financial adviser in the ministry of external affairs.
