Spearheaded by Varuna, Very Own Wish (VOW) is open to those who have basic knowledge about jewellery-making.

The designer has dedicated this initiative to her father.

“My father is my mentor who has taught me to appreciate and understand the nuances of jewellery designing. On the occasion of Father’s Day, it gives me immense pleasure to launch VOW, which I dedicate to my father,” she said in a statement.

“Through my years of experience I have come to realise that there is a lack of support for aspiring jewellery designers to create a niche for their work and themselves. My initiative aims to help the potential designers of tomorrow,” she added.

The VOW initiative is offering 12 young aspiring designers a platform to build their brand. Experts and renowned faculty from around the country will train them on how to improve footfall, visual merchandising, brand building and maintaining public relations.

The programme will also give them a chance to visit and participate in various exhibitions and trade shows.
