New Delhi : A 42-year-old computer engineer from Mumbai was arrested near the airport here for drug trafficking, Delhi Police said Thursday.
Murtaza Khan was arrested when he came to deliver a consignment of 125 grams of cocaine worth Rs.1.25 crore in the international market, said a police official.
“Khan, who resides in Mumbai, revealed that six months back, one of his relatives, Naved, persuaded him to supply drugs. To earn quick money he joined his gang,” said Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police (Crime).
He told police that he was a hardware engineer and ran a shop in Mumbai.
“Last year his wife divorced him due to family dispute that affected him badly and he landed in financial crisis and indulged crime,” said Jain.
