Patna: A man from Delhi died after being pushed out of a running train in Bihar by a railway official who was angry that the victim refused to pay a bribe, police said Sunday.
A Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) reportedly turned killer after a heated exchange of words with Sarvesh Rai on the New Delhi-Puri Purshottam Express Sunday.
The row took place over Rai’s heavy luggage, near the Pursauli railway station in Kaimur district. He died on the spot, police said.
Rai reportedly refused to pay a bribe for the extra luggage he had.
The Government Railway Police, however, said that the reason behind the incident was being ascertained.
