Lucknow : Uttar Pardesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Monday told officials to step up efforts to complete development work by deadlines.
At a review meeting here, the chief minister said people should not face problems in getting their maps for houses sanctioned and other works related to construction.
Warning of strict action if there were complaints of dereliction of duty and corruption, he asked officials to fix their priorities and complete them in set deadlines.
Reviewing the work of the Allahabad Development Authority, the chief minister said that all projects for Kumbh 2013 handled by the ADA should be completed in time and quality should be maintained.
He said that Kumbh was an international event and therefore no laxity or compromise would be tolerated.
He said he would be personally monitor and review projects related to Kumbh.
