New Delhi : Accepting responsibility for the party’s poor showing in Uttar Pradesh, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi said the party’s “fundamentals” were weak in the state and the general mood was for the Samajwadi Party.
“Congress fundamentals were weak. Until we set that right, that weakness will not go away,” Gandhi, who led the party’s campaign in the state, told reporters here.
Congratulating the Samajwadi Party for its victory, he said the Congress was not where it should be organisationally.
