Imphal : With a lead in 19 seats, Manipur’s ruling Congress was far ahead of its rivals in trends available for 28 of the 60 assembly constituencies.
The Congress was followed by the People’s Democratic Front (PDF), which was leading in two seats. Smaller parties were ahead in the remaining seven seats.
In Manipur, the main battle is between the Congress and an alliance of 11 opposition parties.
