Lucknow: In a late night development on Friday, Abhishek Mishra, the newly elected MLA from Lucknow (North) seat reached Islamic seminary Nadwatul Ulema in Lucknow. Mishra was sent by Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to express gratitude to Rector Maulana Rabey Hasan Nadwi for the victory in assembly elections. Mishra also conveyed that party has decided to appoint Mulayam’s son Akhilesh Yadav as CM of the state thus he sought blessings of the cleric.
Maulana Rabey Hasan Nadwi who is also the President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board expressed happiness at the developments. He also presented an english edition of his book to Mishra. Mishra also expressed gratitude and assured that the new government will extend all possible help. Sources from Nadwa confirmed the developments.
Mishra resigned from Professorship in IIM Ahmedabad and contested from Lucknow North seat which has good population of muslims. He defeated Lucknow MP Lalji Tandon’s son Ashutosh Tandon Gopalji. It was a big humilation for BJP for losing this seat to Mishra as Lucknow is regarded as Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s area.
