Shimla : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sunday suspended Himachal Pradesh MP Rajan Sushant for indiscipline, a party leader said here.
Sushant was suspended with immediate effect, state BJP spokesperson Ganesh Dutt told IANS, adding the decision was taken by BJP parliamentary board chairman L.K. Advani on the complaint of the state unit.
For quite some time, Sushant, the MP from Kangra, has been openly criticising Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal. He was axed from the party’s state executive council last May for demanding a narco-analysis test of Dhumal and his cabinet ministers over corruption.
A minister in Dhumal’s previous government in 1998, Sushant has also threatened to issue a list of corrupt people occupying high positions in the state. He had even threatened to resign from parliament.
