Islamabad : Five people died in northwest Pakistan Monday when their van hit a roadside bomb.
The explosion took place in the tribal area of Kurram Agency. Nineteen others were injured.
The van was carrying 20 people and was on its way from Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, to Parachinar, the main town of Kurram Agency.
The bomb was detonated through a remote control device, Xinhua quoted the Urdu channel Dunya TV as saying. At least nine women and four children were injured.
