The agitators later submitted memorandums to the district collectors reminding that the provision of funds for setting up the centre has been made regularly since last three years. They accused the state government for not taking any initiatives to allot the required land for the centre.

The demonstrators pointed out that Kerala and West Bengal have already started their university centres and the project is still lagging in Maharashtra because of the unwillingness of the state govt.

SIO further stated that a high level committee of AMU had seen the land at Khuldabad (Aurangabad) and the Vice chancellor of the university has finalised on the requirement of the land. The State Government was then expected to provide the land, but they didn’t move a step ahead.

SIO has demanded the necessary steps and allocation of the land to enable opening of the centre from next academic year.
