Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) : Farmers, led by the Akhil Bharatiya Yuva Manch in Greater Noida in western Uttar Pradesh have called for a massive protest rally against builders in Noida Extension Saturday.
Giving details to the media, farmer leader Parminder Bhati said: “The National Capital Region (NCR) Planning Board has cleared the Noida Extension project in its meeting on March 22, 2012. But the farmers under the new government demand the implementation of the manifesto of the Samajwadi Party.”
He added: “The manifesto clearly stated that no land would be acquired for builders. But after receiving the news that the NCR Planning Board had cleared the Noida Extension project, the farmers of Greater Noida would protest at the Gaur City Chauraha to remind the government of its manifesto.”
