Lucknow : After a major overhaul of the state police force, the Uttar Pradesh government Tuesday effected a major reshuffle of the state bureaucracy, transferring 12 Indian Administrative Service and seven Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officials.
The major changes include Tanveer Zafar Ali who has been posted as vice-chairman, Meerut Development Authority, while Avanish Awasthi again takes over as chairman and managing director of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).
Awasthi had earlier held the post during the tenure of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
