Mourners came to the Lubyanka and Cultural Park subway stations in central Moscow, where the blasts occurred, and laid flowers and lighted candles at the site of the tragedy.

On March 29, 2010, two deadly blasts, which were set off by female suicide bombers, hit commuters and passengers at the stations, killing 40 people and injuring 160 passengers.

Also on Thursday, the Russian Investigative Committee announced that it was continuing to search for people who could have played some role in the attacks, Xinhua reported.

In the two years after the blasts, investigators have questioned more than 500 people.
