The RCA doctors conducted several complicated eye surgeries including eye lens implant on a total of 504 people with cataract and glaucoma.
Somalia’s National Eye Center, a non-governmental facility dedicated to eradication of blindness, has said that lack of efforts to combat blindness as a result of the ongoing civil war could make more than 500,000 Somalis lose their sight.
