Hooda woos investors

Gurgaon: Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda Saturday welcomed investors to Haryana and pledged to improve its infrastructure, particularly in Gurgaon.

Addressing a conclave to showcase investment opportunities in Haryana, Hooda said he was aware of the traffic problems on the Delhi-Gurgoan Expressway.

He described the two toll plazas on the road as barricade in the way of Haryana’s progress.

He expressed a desire to purchase the plazas, now being operated by expressway concessionaire Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Ltd (DGSCL).

Hooda said the average annual growth rate of the state during past seven years has been 9.4 percent against the national growth rate of 8.4 percent.

During the brief question-answer session, Hooda said a lot more would be spent on improving the infrastructure in the state, particularly in Gurgaon.

He said Haryana also desired an independent high court as opposed to the one it now shares with Punjab.
