“Gadkari represents the RSS and has its ideology… the RSS should clarify,” Digvijay Singh told reporters here referring to the controversial remark.

Taunting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress leader said the opposition party should now take out a Dawood Ibrahim yatra on the lines of the Vivekananda yatra taken out in the party-ruled Madhya Pradesh.

He also asked Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to reply.

“In a function in Bhopal, Gadkari said ‘IQ of Swami Vivekanand and Dawood Ibrahim was same’. Any comment from Modi and his fans,” Singh wrote in his Twitter message.

Gadkari has denied he made the statement.

Modi has been attacking the Congress, including party chief Sonia Gandhi. The Congress is desperate to oust Modi in Gujarat, which goes to polls Dec 13-17.
