New Delhi: It was a clear and warm day in the national capital Saturday with the maximum temperature settling a notch above average at 30.9 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast similar weather Sunday.
The day’s minimum temperature was 13.9 degrees Celsius – average for this time of the year. The humidity levels wavered between 89 and 35 percent.
Though there was no smog enveloping the city for the second day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said smog might return after Diwali due to high air pollution.
The IMD said apart from foggy mornings, the skies would remain clear throughout the day for the next few days.
Sunday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 30 and 14 degrees Celsius, it said.
Friday’s maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 30.3 degrees and the minimum at 12.8 degrees — also a notch below average.
