According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the day will be clear and pleasant. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 96 percent.

Monday’s maximum temperature was two notches above average at 30.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled a notch above average of 14.1 degrees Celsius.

Delhi was under the grip of smog for almost two weeks (Oct 27-Nov 8), causing asthma and other breathing disorders to many.

Scientists at IMD have said the smog may return to the city after Diwali as there is the likelihood of a western disturbance coinciding with smoke from firecrackers.
