Noida : Three people, including two brothers, were killed and two others critically injured when their car rammed into a divider on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway near here, police said Sunday.
The incident occurred late Saturday night near sector-135 under phase II police station of Noida. The victims were all students who were coming from Greater Noida in their Santro car.
The car rammed into the divider in a bid to avoid a collision with a stationary truck, police said.
“The five were on their way to Sahibabad when their car crashed into the divider. They were rushed to Kailash Hospital where three of them were declared brought dead,” a police officer said.
The deceased were identified as Yash Gaur, his brother Kamlesh Gaur and Abhishekh Rai. All were residents of Sahibabad.
Abhishekh Bhardwaj and Yaqub Javed – residents of Aligarh – were reported to be in critical condition in hospital, a doctor said.
