Dhaka : A fire broke out Monday morning in a 12-storeyed garment factory near Dhaka airport, a day after over 100 people died in a deadly blaze in another factory on the outskirts of the Bangladesh capital, officials said.
The blaze at the Euro-Bangla Garment building started around 10 a.m., fire service official Nazma Akter told Xinhua.
Fire fighters were trying to douse the blaze which swept through several floors of the building near the Hazral Shahjalal International Airport.
No casualty has so far been reported.
Xinhua said hundreds of workers were feared trapped, but the report could not be confirmed.
A devastating blaze in a garment factory in Ashulia on the outskirts of Dhaka that broke out Saturday night and continued till Sunday morning left at least 112 people dead and dozens of others injured.
