“We discussed issues like urban public transport, heritage management and urban infrastructure. We have planned to move on the MoU on urban regeneration and development which both the countries had signed,” Nath told reporters here.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in Sep 2011 in London for promotion of cooperation in sustainable master planning, transport planning, heritage management and in other areas.

“Urban regeneration is an area in which the UK is expert and we would like to work towards it,” said the minister.

Urban regeneration is about land redevelopment in areas of moderate to high density urban land use, he said.

Talking to reporters, Johnson praised Delhi’s Metro. “It is quite good the way Delhi has built huge Metro network in record time,” he said.
