New Delhi : A 40-year-old woman, who was admitted to a government hospital after she consumed poison after killing her two step-children, died when she jumped from the hospital building Friday morning, police said.
Rekha had been admitted to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital here Wednesday after being brought here from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.
“She committed suicide by jumping from a window on the seventh floor of the hospital around 5 a.m. Friday,” said a police officer.
Mahender Singh, a government employee in Bulandshahr, married Rekha in 2007 after the death of his first wife.
“Mahender found the main door of the house shut from inside. On entering the house, he found his two children dead. Rekha, who smashed the children’s heads with a stone, was also found unconscious,” said the officer.
“No suicide note was recovered from the spot,” added the officer.
