A strong workforce would include scientists, accountants, engineers, doctors, lawyers and managers, Moily said in his inaugural address here at a seminar on education.

“To develop professionals of highest calibre, a fundamental requirement is good education and world class educational institutions”, Moily said.

Referring to the second wave of economic reforms launched by the government, he said they were aimed at unleashing the animal instincts of the business entrepreneurs.

The seminar was organised by the O.P. Jindal Global University. The Jindal Global Business School launched its five year integrated BBA-MBA degree programme.

Moily stressed the need to produce outstanding business leaders for tomorrow with a vision to transform the industrial and economic landscape of the country.

Jindal University Vice Chancellor C. Raj Kumar expressed serious concern over the fact that not a single university from India figured in the list of top 200 universities in the world.

He stressed the need to focus on research and knowledge creation in universities.
