“Today, after many days, I had decided to meet Bhagwatji, along with Bhaiyaji Joshi and Surajji Soni. In my meeting with them that lasted over three hours, we spoke about diverse subjects,” Modi told media persons after the meeting here.

“The conversation was a pleasure. I am also a swayamsevak and this is a place of faith for the Sangh. It is obvious that we will talk our hearts out,” he added.

Modi, however, denied of having any political talks with the RSS top brass.

Last week, lawyer and Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Rajya Sabha member Ram Jethmalani strongly pitched for Modi as the party’s prime ministerial candidate for 2014 parliamentary elections.

When asked if his meeting with Bhagwat was to garner RSS support for the 2014 general elections, Modi said he does not know if there is such a candidacy in our country.

When asked about the RSS’s take on it, Modi said: “The RSS will never get entangled into any such thing. It is neither their subject, nor a matter of their interest.”

Modi is campaigning for the Gujarat assembly elections to seek a third consecutive term as the chief minister.
