Washington: At least seven people were injured in a shooting incident near a US shopping centre Sunday in Wisconsin state, Sky News reported.
The shooting occurred about 11. 00 am near a suburban Milwaukee shopping centre at a spa across the street from the Brookfield Square Mall. Authorities were still searching for the gunman.
The mall was locked down, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Beth Strohbusch, a spokeswoman for Froedtert Memorial Hospital, said four shooting victims were brought there while three more were expected.
None of the four were in critical condition, she added.
Milwaukee was earlier in the news during an attack on a gurdwara in Oak Creek Aug 5. Six worshippers, including four Indians, were killed and four others injured, in the shooting.
