Mumbai : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj Sunday called upon Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray here and inquired about his health.
Sushma Swaraj said that her meeting with Thackeray was purely a courtesy call and that she wanted to inquire about the health of Thackeray and his son Uddhav, who recently underwent an angioplasty.
She said that they did not discuss any political issue.
Sushma Swaraj’s meeting with Thackeray is considered significant as it comes soon after Congress president Sonia Gandhi had reached out to her last week in an attempt to find a solution to the logjam in parliament over the coal blocks allocation issue.
