Four die in Brazil plane crash

Rio de Janeiro: Four people were killed when a single-engine airplane crashed during a sightseeing flight over the central Brazilian state of Goias, authorities said.

The accident took place around 4.30 p.m. Sunday in the municipality of Acreuna, about 155 km from Goiania, the state capital.

The dead were the pilot and three passengers: sisters Franciele and Andressa Alves Freitas, aged 19 and 14, respectively; and Nivia Maria Gomes Barros, 24.

The aircraft fell from the sky and hit the ground about 500 m from the runway at the Acreuna flying club
