Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh government Wednesday selected Feedback Infrastructure & Services Private Limited as consultant for the building of a key link road in Ghaziabad.
The 20-km long, four-lane (extendable to six lanes) northern peripheral road has been proposed to be developed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
“In keeping with state government’s agenda of developing new roads for better connectivity resulting in overall development, the proposed road would provide much needed infrastructure to enterprises and industries to transport raw material,” said Anil K. Gupta, infrastructure and industrial development commissioner.
The consultant will expedite the study of the project, its technical feasibility, financial viability and the entire bid process management conforming to the PPP guidelines and other state government rules.
“With comparatively lower cost of living and proximity to national capital, Ghaziabad is going to be the highest revenue and employment generating industrial district,” Gupta added.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority has been named as the nodal agency for implementing the project with an estimated cost of Rs.440 crore.
Ghaziabad Development Authority vice-chairman Santosh Yadav said the peripheral road in Ghaziabad will start from SH-57 (Sharanpur Road) in Loni area and terminate at Dasna on NH-24 (Lucknow Road) bisecting NH-58 (Meerut Road).
