Islamabad: At least three people were killed Saturday in a US drone strike in Pakistan’s northwest tribal area, a media report said.
US drones fired two missiles at a vehicle suspected of carrying militants in the Datta Khel area of North Waiziristan, a stronghold of militants along the Pakistan-Afghan border, killing at three people and wounding two, reported Xinhua citing a media report.
The strike came at a time when the Pakistani foreign minister is paying a visit to the US.
Saturday’s US drone strike is the 29th of its kind in Pakistan since 2012. So far this year, a total of 213 people have reportedly been killed in such strikes.
